The school was built as a three phase project which spanned over 13 year of development.

Phase I & II was completed in 1977 and 1990.

The design challenge of the final ohase was to fit these addirional facilities onto the small and awkward triangular site, while providing ample circulation space and open areas for students activities which occur outside of the formal classroom. 

The larger volume spaces were placed at the lowest level of the sloping site to provide open air platforms that serve as play areas and the more regular pattern of the clasrooms were then organized around an open quadrangle courtyard at the higher ground level.
