Sam Tung Uk Museum
Pacific Area Tourist Association Cultural and Heritage Award
Sam Tung Uk in Tsuen Wan is a typical example of a walled village developed in stages to meet the growth in population.
Based on measured drawing, and the reconstituted original form of the village; the consultants can then assess the work required to renovate the village close to its original character.
Our proposal is attempting to conserve all of the historically homogenous fabric, to remove all later date additions of no quality and to complete the missing fragments of the village with an addition designed in harmony with the retained original.
